At the foot of the Black Mountains between Crickhowell and Brecon is the award winning Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn.  Originally a drovers’ inn and dating from the 16th century many of the original features have been retained.

Nowadays the Inn is renowned for its good food using a combination of traditional British food with Mediterranean influences and attracts diners from the UK and beyond.

The management’s policy is to source all beef, lamb, pork, game and vegetables from local sources to create seasonal menus with invention, tradition, simplicity and style to give a true taste of Wales. 

Diners can choose from the Drover’s menu in the lounge and bar with its inglenook log burning fire or dine a la carte in the converted apple store which is now the stunning Mill Room restaurant with its oak beamed ceiling and featuring a mill stone and cider press last used for producing cider in the 1960’s.

There is excellent wine cellar and the bar serves Welsh ‘real ales’ and stout together with a variety of draught ciders.
