The Beehive, Horringer
Suffolk » Bury St Edmunds

The Beehive is situated in the pretty village of Horringer, two miles south of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and just 30 minutes from Cambridge..

This legendary gastropub has been owned by Gary and Di Kingshott who have built up a loyal following of regular customers who travel from far and wide to sample their freshly prepared seasonal food, fine wines and local Greene King ales.
The Beehive welcomes children but don’t expect a separate “children’s” menu as Gary and Di believe that children should be able to have whatever their parents can and willingly offer half portions of most dishes off the menu.
This cosy country pub was built in 1860 and boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a wealth of brick floord, exposed flint alls and art in its series of intimate dining rooms. Outside is a small alfresco garden complete with tables and parasols.

Whenever possible the ingredients are locally sourced with the pub having built up a reputation for its substantial meals. Menus are changed daily and displayed on a blackboard near to the bar. The Beehive gets really busy and it is always advisable to phone in advance.

Mentioned in many publications including The Good Pub Guide, The Geat British Pub Guide, The Suffolk Good Food Guide, Michelin Pub Guide and now Britishgastropubs, the Beehive at Horringer are proud recipients of a BBC Suffolk Salt and Pepper Award as well as AA Rosettes in 2007 and  2008.
