The Botanist has a very lively bar. We have been visiting for years when in town. Great food and fab cocktails. Try the Confit de Canard - it will not disappoint.

The Chequers Brasserie provides a truly exceptional dining experience in the pretty Berkshire village of Cookham Dean. Established for over 15 years, The Chequers is renowned as being one of the foremost gastropubs in the Thames Valley and was awarded a Food & Drink Award in the 2009 Good Pub Guide. We like to think that we serve the best Sunday lunch in Berkshire and pride ourselves on our fine pub cuisine. The venue boast wooden beams as well as an open fireplace, has an intimate cosy bar area with a separate dining area in our conservatory and a private dining room available for larger groups.
