The Green

Since it opened in November 2004, The Green has become a Clerkenwell landmark, popular with local residents as well as the numerous businesses in the area and also a destination for those seeking genuinely great food in an unpretentious environment.

Part gastro-pub, part bustling city bar, part friendly local restaurant, The Green combines a popular ground floor bar with a first floor dining room.

The menu changes on a monthly basis and includes the likes of home-made roast chicken and mushroom pie, creamy mash and gravy, artichoke, French bean and butter-nut squash salad with pine-nuts and pesto
dressing or brandy flamed calves liver hachet in a bacon and mushroom sauce.

On offer is a large range of non-mainstream draught lagers and a very well chosen and extensive wine list, tapas/small plates menu at the bar, more formal although still relaxed dining on the first floor, Saturday brunch and our now legendary Sunday roasts.

Our two floors are available for private hire for a variety of functions, weddings receptions, birthday and Christmas parties of up to 150 people and have a private bar on each floor.

Our head chef will design a menu to suit your occasion or we have a selection of canapés, buffet and function menus to choose from.
