Great food and a fantastic atmosphere and setting! I visited The Gun with my boyfriend on a Friday night. The place has a great buzz with lots of different areas. There were lots of Canary Wharf \'suits\' in the bar areas and on the terrace but all were friendly. They also have an outdoor restaurant that opens in the summer which serves Portuguese food. We really loved the food, really interesting flavours and ingredients and all perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the kid which was really tender. Overall a lovely place which we will definitely come back to.

An excellent venue which is a hidden gem. The food is imaginative and of a very high standard. The venue itself is cosy and welcoming. In the summer the terrace is perfect for a few drinks on the bank of the Thames. I would recommend this to anyone who likes good food in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere.

We were 28 people who visited the Gun at short notice. The staff were fantastic and everything went very smoothly with no problems at all. We had drinks on the terrace which had a really buzzy atmosphere with great views over the Thames. The food was excellent and perfectly served. I had the seabass which was lovely. I would definitely recommend The Gun to anyone looking for great dinner in the Docklands. You won\'t be disappointed.

A wonderful experience all round. Great setting; very welcoming to have real log fires buring on a dull November lunchtime. The food was excellent; the staff attentive. Spotlessly clean. A cosy little room tucked away for pre lunch drinks was a bonus. Would highly recommend a visit to The Gun.

The whole experience of lunch at the Gun in the River Room was ideal and the service from all the staff was 1st class. Vanessa and Anna were extremely helpful in organising the day and catering for all our needs. The free taxis were very much appreciated as was the value-for-money set menu deal. From the pre-lunch drinks to the dessert we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the pub and I\'m sure that all of us would happily return.

I organised a surprise birthday lunch for my wife and 16 guests. Everyone from Anna, who took my booking, through to the staff that served us on the day were wonderfully helpful, extremely welcoming and very accommodating given we had a number of toddlers and babies with us. The food was excellent with hearty portions and they very kindly made a chocolate Birthday cake on request. I took the sommelier’s advice on the wine and that too was very nice and reasonably priced. All in all a wonderful occasion with nothing seeming to be too much trouble – quite refreshing in this day and age and we’ll definitely be back.
