The Hinds Head Hotel
Overview
Located in the gastronomically renowned village of Bray, The Hinds Head has a plethora of warm welcoming touches ranging from original sturdy oak panelling and beams, to relaxing leather chairs and cosy real fires. The establishment is owned by Heston Blumenthal of the internationally vaunted three Michelin-starred Fat Duck restaurant - just next door, with the food created by Clive Dixon, himself a much-heralded chef. The Hinds Head exudes a wonderfully long and rich history - the building itself dates back to Tudor times and has been at the very heart of life in Bray for over six hundred years. For four-hundred years, the building was home to a welcoming and much-loved local tavern and boasts former patrons including members of the British Royal Family and many well-known celebrities. Heston has worked closely with the Tudor kitchen at Hampton Court Palace in a bid to re-introduce historic British dishes not seen on British menus for over 500 years. The Hinds Head is a gastronomic destination, firmly placed beside its illustrious neighbours in the village of Bray. Above all however, the establishment remains a local village pub offering a warm welcome, unassuming friendly service and good food.
