The Malt House
The Malt House opened its doors under new management in January 2013 after a total refurbishment transformed it from drab Victorian boozer into one of Fulham’s most elegant dining destinations.
A well chosen menu of beautifully presented British classics pays glowing tribute to the nation’s favourite flavours. Long-loved dishes are here faithfully captured and respectfully elevated into a joyous celebration of national cuisine which has earned The Malt House justifiably high praise. This is conservation of the nation’s culinary culture at its most delectable.
Seasonality and provenance are vital to The Malt House’s highly creative team and only a very select list of suppliers are favoured. Steaks aged for 42 days are cooked on a Big Green Egg Barbecue for maximum moistness and flavour and pickles, sauces and oat crackers are homemade.
This attention to detail and quality is echoed in The Malt House’s engaging wine list, where thoughtful arrangement of each wine by country lends an enjoyable sense of adventure to choosing one’s tipple. Guided by the inimitable expertise of list consultant Master of Wine Mark Pardoe, even the most adventurous choice will lead the explorer to grape-based treasure. A regularly updated and seasonally inspired cocktail menu is also available to add a twist of fun to your meal.
When the evening takes a horizontal turn diners will be thrilled to know that The Malt House has six luxurious double en-suite bedrooms. Let on a bed and breakfast basis, each tastefully decorated room is stocked with designer toiletries, fluffy white towels, inviting bathrobes and a Nespresso Coffee machine.
