Our passion is ‘Slow food’, we try our best to buy the highest quality of ingredients sourced from specialist and artisan suppliers and farmers.

This means that not only do we buy the best Middlewhite Pork from Huntsham Farm to make our Scotch eggs , but that our fish all come from sustainable sources and are caught by smaller day boats.

Bar snacks include a pork board with all the charcuterie being made on site, sausages change on the menu regularly and are also freshly made in our kitchen, from the classic ‘Cumberland’ through to our new ‘beef rib eye and mustard’ sausage. The steaks are all sourced from local butcher Macken Brothers and are 28 day aged, char grilled through our Spanish charcoal oven and served with triple cooked chips and Béarnaise.

Fish dishes range from the signature ‘Potted Dorset crab, frisée and green bean salad’, to ‘Roasted hake, with salted brandade, curly Kale, homemade chorizo and Romesco sauce’…….

Sunday roasts are popular and bustling. With three roasts available, Pork belly, Chicken and of course Rib of beef with Yorkshire puddings for all that want them, maybe topped off with sticky toffee pudding or a Yorkshire Rhubarb fool.

Real Ales include Timothy Taylors ‘Landlord’ and ‘Harveys Sussex Best’ alongside local boy ‘London Pride’ from Chiswick brewers Fullers.

The same care of provenance with ingredients extends into the drinks we offer. Our wine list consists of over 350 bins and has brought us several ‘Wine Pub of the Year’ awards, and there are no fewer than 35 whiskys to tempt you and our own wine shop with most of the bottles from our list available at half price to take away!

We also hold regular wine dinners, Jazz nights with renowned actor Colin Salmon, a herb garden and there’s even a new pub quiz soon to arrive.

Bar snacks served daily midday till 10.30pm.

Monday to Saturday, Lunches midday till 3pm. Dinner 6.30pm till 10.30pm.

Sundays, Lunch midday- 4.30pm dinner 6.30 til 9.30pm.
