Bordered by its fellow Yorkshire neighbouring counties of West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire as well as Lincolnshire and the Humber Estuary to the south. East Yorkshire has the North Sea to the east as its coastal perimeter.

East Yorkshire's gently rolling Yorkshire Wolds descend to the Vale of York to the north and the county is home to notable towns such as Kingston-upon-Hull and Beverley in the south and Bridlington on its northern coast.
