Herefordshire is located on the western perimeter of England, bordered by the Welsh counties of Gwent and Powys to the west with Shropshire at its northern perimeter and Worcestershire and Gloucestershire to the south.

The county is part of the West Midlands region of England and is well known for its cider production as well as its eponymously named cattle.

Herefordshire is home to the county town of Hereford as well as smaller towns including Leominster, Ross-on-Wye and historic Ledbury and boasts a great selection of pubs serving great home-prepared food as well excellent ales including The Stagg Inn at Kington and the award-winning The Mill Race at Walford, near Ross-on-Wye.
