Kensington in West London is bordered by Notting Hill to the north and Chelsea and Earls Court to the south, with Knightsbridge to the east. Revered for its luxurious properties and the High Street which was voted Britain's second-best shopping area, Kensington is best known for housing London's much loved V&A, Natural History and Science Museums. While you are there, take the time to venture up to the little-known Kensington Roof Gardens, which are astonishingly the largest such gardens in Europe, and home to a number of flamingos, ducks and thirty species of trees.
